Pecil sketching on canvas and then "painting" by gluing pieces of fabric. Represents his history and interests. The dove in his hair represents his Nobel peace Prize. Images of African American history are all over his face- Rosa parks on forehead, MLK Jr. and his words on forehead, Malcolm X on cheek, Harriett Tubman and Phyllis Wheatley in his ears, American image of Statue of liberty on cheek. His tie represents some of his hobbies including his penchant for collecting Spiderman comics, basketball, poker and golf.
